Soldering flux helps solder to spread out and “cling” to metal by reducing the surface tension and removing oxides. Liquid flux is crucial for surface mount soldering and many other soldering tasks.
Many liquid flux formulas contain gum rosin; however, I am also writing some formulas that do not contain rosin. In most cases you will be able to modify the ratio of the ingredients to fine tune a formula for your own application; however, if you need help in doing that please call me or email me for assistance. All formulations must be made by chemists or individuals with sufficient experience in making chemical compounds. Many formulas contain flammable or corrosive ingredients. Please read the MSDS of all materials before handling them.
